Time to introduce our 16th person in this unending parade of People of Peoria that I pick at random to take a photo and ask a few questions. This week I stopped in at the popular and locally-owned, Zion Coffee Bar on Adams and wandered around and found a random Peorian typing away on a laptop computer. People Of Peoria: Person Number 16—Maggie
Maggie was working on her laptop and seated next to her friend, Erica when I barged in and asked to take her photo for this series. Both Maggie and Erica attend Bradley University and they’re both on the volleyball team. Maggie is from Dallas, Texas and said she’s been here in Peoria for almost a year now and she really likes it here in the River City. We’ll find out some specific things that she likes about Peoria as she answers the Peoria Favorite Five List directly below!

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, do you have a place or a bar here in Peoria that you plan to celebrate at? No, we don’t really celebrate it much in Dallas, so I haven’t made any plans.
Who’s your favorite Peoria broadcaster? Dave Snell! He does a great job at the Bradley sporting events!
Who’s your favorite Peoria person? I’d have to say Banu Hatfield, who owns Zion Coffee with her husband, Michael. She spoke at a business class I was taking at Bradley and I enjoyed it so much!
What’s your favorite curse word? Dadgummit! I told you I’m from Texas!
Who would you like to give a shout-out to? My friend Erica! (Who I mentioned was seated next to Maggie at Zion.)
