Live from East Peoria, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, TNT’s and featuring special guest stars, Kennedy, Troy, Riley and Danielle! Now please welcome from East Peoria, this week's Saturday Night host: TNT’s!
Here we are at the TNT’s in East Peoria. I was here about a year ago when I was on a sandwich road trip with MBIP Wheelman, Scott Turley. Since then they’ve done some remodeling and updated their kitchen and menu. So I thought I’d stop in tonight and take a look around and have a Saturday dinner in here. So let’s go inside and put this plan into action!
There’s a good crowd at the bar but I see a spot there at the end I can squeeze into so let’s go get settled in for the evening.
As soon as I sat down, Kennedy, the pretty and friendly bartender for the evening magically appeared clutching an ice-cold bottle of beer. This evening is off to a fantastic start! I knew what I wanted for dinner because I had looked at the menu online and found an item I’ve never had before and Kennedy put the order in. Keep on scrolling to find out what they mystery entree for the evening is!
Big screen TV’s tuned into sports stations hang over the back of the bar and there’s tables and an island table opposite the bar.
Gaming machines are standing tall here at the end of the bar area for all of you gamblers out there that feel lucky. Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?
Here’s the remodeled dining room and it looks great! There’s tables and comfortable booths to eat and drink at. Assorted sports memorabilia hang on the walls and there’s a framed Michael Jordan jersey and a Pujols jersey. Which leaves me with this one question: Who the hell is Pujols?
There’s a beer garden/smoking patio out here. I love the pyramid fires on the tables!
Meanwhile, back at the bar, there’s Kennedy with Riley who also bartends in here. In addition to being a talented bartender, Kennedy is also a tattoo artist and she did Riley’s tattoo which is still a work in progress. It looks really cool so far! If you’d like Kennedy to put some inked art on your body she does her tattoo art at Sin In Skin Ink in Bartonville. Check out some of her work right here.
Check it out, it looks like Saturday night dinner is just about to happen!
It’s happening indeed! Here’s the owner of TNT’s, Troy, with a heaping pile of their famous, homemade onion rings! These are some of the best onion rings that you'll find in the area and beyond! They’re lightly breaded, crispy and seasoned to perfection!
Remember I mentioned I saw something on their online menu I had never seen before at the start of this post? Well here it is, they have a large selection of chicken wings, but I saw that they have baked wings, which I’ve never had before. I mentioned this to Kennedy and she highly recommended them, so I ordered the baked wings and...
Here’s comes Troy with a piping hot order of them! I got the Sweet Fire wings and they were so tasty! The taste of the Sweet Fire sauce is baked into the wings and it really makes a difference. They’re a perfect combination of heat and sweet and so juicy and tasty! What a delicious dinner!
After dinner I ran into my friend Danielle which was a nice surprise! She’s looking pretty and cute as always. Danielle bartends here through the week, but tonight she was on the other side of the bar and meeting a friend for dinner. (Inside joke alert): I was just happy she didn’t have any boxes for me to take out to the dumpster! Thanks to Kennedy, Troy and everyone for a fun night and a delicious Saturday night dinner at TNT’s in East Peoria!
TNT’s has so many delicious items on their menu, but they are famous for their wings and rings and I thoroughly enjoyed both of them! The onion rings are made to order and they’re lightly coated with seasoned breading. The savory breading compliments the sweet onions and they’re absolutely delicious as an appetizer or a meal unto itself.
I have never had baked chicken wings and they really are a tasty way to prepare wings. I got the Sweet Fire wings and the baking process allows the flavor of the sauce to really permeate the juicy meat of the chicken wing. The flavor was equal parts heat and sweet and they are such delicious chicken wings!
