I’ve decided to make a little editorial change here at MBIP and limit the Retro Photo series to Friday. I was doing it Thursday, Friday and Saturday and it was a little too much of the same thing and was getting on my nerves.
So I’ve decided to do a weekly Saturday photo series based on growing a beard.
Why?
Why not?
So here goes!
A Beard Grows In Peoria - Week Number One
I thought I’d take the first week’s photos here in the MBIP World Headquarters Bathroom. These are mirror shots from the first week of bearded growth.
I started growing the beard on Monday and I took these yesterday. The beard now is at the worst phase of bearded growth. It’s scratchy and I’ve got a little rash on my right cheek going on.
One thing that’ll be interesting is how the beard ages me. Every year it gets more white and I think it adds about 10 years to how old I look. I may end up going and getting it dyed in a month or two, but we’ll see.
The beard isn’t the only thing that has gone white, if you look at my nostrils in the last photo you can see some white nostril hair and that really bugs me because it looks like boogers in my nose.
I’m very attentive about trimming my nose hair, but you can’t get rid of it all. Maybe I’ll look into getting my nostrils waxed.
Well there you have it for week number one! A scratchy and rashy face and white nostril hair that looks a little like I have boogers in my nose.
We’ll see you all tomorrow!
