Photo From December 13, 2012: The MBIP World Headquarters Entertainment Center
This was a post where I gave a tour of the first MBIP World Headquarters before I was even calling it that. I had moved back to Peoria in October of 2012 after living in New York City for 19 years and moved into this studio apartment.
It’s funny in Peoria some people couldn’t believe that I lived in a one-room apartment, but this was actually a lot bigger than my apartment I lived in in New York for over 15 years!
Speaking of New York City, I bought that boombox on top of the entertainment center back in 1993 when I first moved to New York City! I got it from an electronics store on 14th Street and haggled the guy down from fifty bucks to twenty five dollars. I still have it and it still works, although sometimes it gets stuck in a repeat mode.
A few years ago I moved into a new MBIP World Headquarters in the same apartment complex, but this one has a bedroom! it’s my first bedroom in over 20 years and it was pretty goddamned exciting! You can see a tour of this space by clicking here.

Blog Backstory
I have no recollection of doing this blog. I’m guessing whatever I had planned fell through or I wasn’t in the mood to go anywhere, so I did this. That’s just a guess though because I truly don’t remember doing this one. It’s weird going back in time like this and having zero memories, but that’s the way it goes!

Bonus Linkage: Chris Marchand And The Twelve Days of Christmas
Local author Chris Marchand has written a book that explores the history and story behind the actual Twelve Days of Christmas.
We’ve all heard the song, but few of us know the background behind it. Chris has a book contract with Wipf & Stock publishers, but needs to raise some money for production costs. If you can make a pledge you get a reward—a twenty dollar pledge gets you a signed copy of the book and there’s more reward packages offered on his Kickstarter Page.
You can check the whole Kickstarter Project out by clicking here or on the photo above and help a local author make his Christmas wish come true!
