Last week on facecrack I posted the song, “Wonderful” which is one of my favorite songs by The Beach Boys. It’s a song that was part of the infamous Beach Boys/Brian Wilson album, “SMiLE,” which was recorded in 1966 and 1967, but it never got released making it one of rock ‘n roll’s most mysterious and fabled album projects of all time. On October 31st, 2011, a boxed set called, “The Smile Sessions,” was released, but I’ve always wondered what would’ve happened to The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson’s musical career if they would’ve put the album out in 1967. We’ll never know, but it’s fun to think about. And to further these thoughts, here’s a half a dozen links to internet articles about the album, “SMiLE.” And then there’s the weekly MBIP Coming Attractions for next week!

Last night I went to Peoria’s newest Mexican restaurant, Mariachi and you can read all about my meal and evening there tomorrow on Monday’s Saturday Night post. Tuesday we continue the “Year In The LIfe Of A Sandwich” food tour with a road trip to Springfield, Illinois! We’re doing that today, so tune in on Tuesday for that post. Wednesday I’ll be featuring photographer Ava Kamm, who takes photographs of shelter dogs to help them get adopted. Thursday I’m having a birthday lunch with my friend Lisa Odum at Blue Duck BBQ and that should be one of the best lunches in the world! I’m not sure what I’m going to put up here on Friday and Scott will be here soon, so i have to get ready for our trip to Springfield! Have a funny and runny Sunday and we’ll see you all tomorrow!
