Okay, I’ll admit that sometimes I deliberately try to find something really grotesque to sample here on Fast Food Friday, but if you looked at last week’s episode, you’ll have to admit we hit an all-time low, if you missed it click here to see the vile and stomach-turning food festivities from that episode. I thought this week I’d go somewhere and get something that actually looks and sounds edible for a change and the place I’ve chosen is Noodles & Company. Several people have told me that the food here is really good for a fast food place so let’s go try it out!

How Fast Is It Really?
I drove around in vain looking for the drive-through and then realized there wasn’t one! I was kind of pissed I had to park and walk in to the place and order and then come back to the car. The people inside were nice and pleasant but it took ten minutes for the whole thing to happen and that’s quite a chunk of time for fast food. This shit better be worth it!
The Myth
This is how the dish looks on the Noodles & Company website.
The Reality
This is how the dish looked when I got home. It looks good, but I don’t see any steak.
Looking Inside The Bowl
Okay, there’s the steak and I have to say it looks good and smells great!
The First Bite And The Taste
There’s a lot of different flavors and textures in this bowl and they taste spicy and delicious. The Ramen noodles and seasoned steak give it a comfort food feel but there’s also sprouts, spinach, cucumber slices and green onions which add a nice crunch and vegetable layer to the noodle dish. The food is swimming in a Korean-style Gochujang sauce that’s very spicy and leaves a heated after-taste with a touch of sweetness coming through too. This is one of the best fast-food meals I’ve ever had! I actually ate the whole portion for a change!
Fast Food Rating (Four Is The Worst, None Is The Best)
They get a half a finger down the throat due to the fact that there’s no drive-through at the restaurant. Other than that, this was an enjoyable fast food meal for a change! It’s not as funny when the food is actually edible and I apologize to Mikey C. for the lack of a Friday vomit-inducing review, so I’ll look for something disgusting next week! I just needed a break after last week’s thoroughly disgusting fish taco! I'll be taking tomorrow off, so we'll see you all on Sunday!
