It’s hard to believe, but this Thursday is Thanksgiving. And we all know what that means, the next day is Black Friday. I’ve never gone to a retail store on Black Friday and if you read the six links below, you may just stay far away from the shopping madness this Friday as well! And then there’s the MBIP Coming Attractions for this week’s batches of MBIP posts!
What Is the History of Black Friday? - The history of Black Friday is interesting, but it also reveals that Congress passed a law in 1941 that Thanksgiving must be the fourth Thursday in November. I never knew that.
42 Million Dead In Bloodiest Black Friday Weekend On Record - A Black Friday report from The Onion, the originators of Fake News!
Black Friday Death Count - This sounds like an Onion headline, but it’s a true Black Friday death and injury count.
5 of the worst things that have happened during Black Friday madness - Stabbings, pepper spray injuries and stampede deaths...oh my!
10 Facts About the Madness of Black Friday - Number ten is my favorite!
11 Things to Do on Black Friday When You Hate Black Friday - These are all good ideas, but here’s a twelfth idea from Bluto.
Next week is a festive holiday week here on MBIP, but I’m not taking a day off! Tomorrow is an extra special post, my friends Amber and Joe got married yesterday and it was a beautiful wedding and a really fun reception afterwards, complete with delicious food, bowling, beer and lots of fun guests. Tuesday we continue the seven month steak tour and I’m getting a T-bone steak at a place you wouldn’t normally associate with steaks! Wednesday I’m putting up an MBIP Holiday gift shopping guide of twelve shops I’ve visited in the past and I suggest you spend your holiday cash at these fine local stores. Thursday I’m going to have a special Thanksgiving People of Peoria episode and on Fast Food Friday I’ll be reviewing a Turkey sandwich from Arby’s. So now I’ve got to go and start working on all of that, have a wonderful Sunday and we’ll see you all tomorrow!

Bonus Photos: Tallis—Calendar Cover Model And Mr. November!
Well this has been quite an exciting week for my friends Amber and Joe! They had a pre-wedding party, a wedding rehearsal and then yesterday was the wedding and reception and it was a fabulous and wondrous event! I’ll have photos of the rehearsal, the wedding and the reception tomorrow, but today I want to post two photos of a member of their family, their dog, Tallis! Tallis was one of the canine models for this years Foster Pet Outreach organization. And he was not only named Mr. November, he’s also pictured on the cover with an amazing photo of him winking! The photos were taken by Loni Wenzel who did all the photography for the calendar and the photos are really spectacular! You can get your own 2018 calendar and help support Pet Outreach by contacting them through their website or calling them at 309-682-1122. You can see more of Loni’s photography at her website right here: Yellow Lily Photography.
