There’s a new bar that’s opened up on Main Street called BarCODE. Having gone to most of the bars around here at least twice, it’s always fun to go and check out a brand new bar, so let’s make like Bob Seger and head on down to Main Street!
Here we are zooming down Main Street on a nice Thursday evening! Always love it when the sun goes down and night time has fallen in the skies!
I parked across the street, BarCODE is located right next door to the Main Street Liquor Store, where I tried to do a post from and failed last November! Hopefully tonight will go smoother!
And here we are at BarCODE. I like the neon in the window and the lights shining down. Let’s go in and see what this place is all about, shall we? We shall, we shall!
It’s nice in here and it’s got a nice neighborhood bar type vibe to it! Let’s grab a seat and get settled in for the evening! Well, as settled as I can ever get while taking hundreds of pictures for tomorrow’s post!
Alex is the friendly bartender on duty tonight and after chatting with him, I discovered we have a friend in common in Chris Cassidy! Chris is the General Manager at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe and Alex has worked out at the Spider Hill Halloween event for over twelve years! I’ve been friends with Chris since I was about twelve, so I guess we need to cue this up now!
A shot of the view of the back of the bar from where I’m sitting.
Here’s some of the daily specials at BarCODE including free pool!
They’ve got half a dozen beers on tap and as you can see from the cooler there’s quite a selection of bottled and can beer in here as well!
There’s a different daily special every day of the week in here!
I love the view of Main Street from the front window. Perfect table-side seat in the front of the bar!
The pool table is located directly across from the bar, but if pool’s not your game...
There’s also a Foosball table, Jenga, a Golden Tee machine and an official Beer Pong table and glasses in the back of the bar.
Speaking of the back of the bar, here’s the view from back here!
Alex told me that this bar was brand new and built specifically for BarCODE, love the polished wood!
Now this is something I’ve never seen before, the jukebox is also a photo booth! I put some money in and the photos happen so quickly I didn’t have much time to pose for them! I did select a frame and then instead of the photos popping out, you have the option of saving them on facecrack or emailing them. I sent them to the MBIP World Headquarters email and now I’m obsessing over whether or not this is going to work. So there’s only one thing to do...
And that’s hightail it back to MBIP World Headquarters and see if they made the trip from BarCODE to MBIP World Headquarters via email from the jukebox!
Okay, here we are inside of MBIP World Headquarters and let’s go check the email...holy shitballs, it’s here! That’s one small step for modern technology but...it’s one...uh...well, it’s just one small step for modern technology, but it’s still kind of exciting!
And here they are, direct from BarCODE! Let’s download them and take a look...
Ha! I love this... yes, I’m easily amused, but I got a kick out of this! Thanks to Alex for the hospitality at BarCODE! He told me that the owner said to say that the bar is still a work in progress and in a couple of weeks there’s going to be lots of changes and new additions in there, so we’ll have to stop back by to check it out as it continues to take shape on Main Street!
Thanks to MBIP Pal and Commentator, Ragin’ RR for sending in a generous donation to the Virtual Beer page this week! I appreciate that and if you enjoy MBIP and want to help out with expenses around here and buy me a virtual beer, just click here for information! Okay, have a great Friday and we’ll see you all tomorrow! And hey...let’s be careful out there!
