Find out who was executed on your birthday! In 1952, Lloyd Edison Sampsell, the Yacht Bandit was executed in a gas chamber on my birthday (April 25) for killing someone. It says right before the gas took effect he turned to the crowd of over a hundred people watching and winked. That’s my kind of guy!

MBIP Coming Attractions
We’ve got lots of fun adventures coming up this week on MBIP! Monday will be a Saturday Night Dinner at one of Peoria’s newest downtown restaurants, Thyme Kitchen + Craft Beer and I had a crazy good meal there last night! Tuesday we’re finally going to wrap up the Twelve More Weeks Of Chicken Weeks tour with a chicken wing cookout at MBIP pal, Contributing Writer and Wheelman, Scott Turley’s place. Wednesday is the start of a new series of musical lunches. The debut post stars Sarah Marie Dillard (pictured above) and Brandon Mooberry with a lunch at Knuckles Pizza and a couple songs from Sarah and Brandon who are two-thirds of SMD & The Underground. Thursday is another pizza post, this one is from Goldie’s Lounge & Slots, the latest Farmington Road restaurant/gaming club creation from Kenny’s Westside Pub owner, Sean Kenny and then on Friday...oh...I need to think of something to do for Friday! I gotta go, see you all tomorrow and have a great Sunday!
