This interview with Legs McNeil, who co-authored the book, “Please Kill Me,” with Gillian McCain took place at his apartment on St. Marks Place in the East Village in 1996. “Please Kill Me” is one of my favorite books and I believe the definitive oral history of punk rock in New York City. This is probably my favorite interview of all time and the longest, so I’m dividing it into two parts. You can listen to the first part by clicking here.
Coming up this week here at MBIP we’ve got a rare Saturday afternoon out on the town, there’s a chicken wing road trip to Havana, Illinois, we’re having lunch with the winners of the last MBIP facecrack contest and more crap that I still need to think up! Have a wonderful and funderful Sunday and we’ll see you all tomorrow!
