I can’t believe this is the last day of 2015. This is the time of year that everyone compiles those stupid-ass end of year “listicles.” So I’ve decided to do my own stupid-ass end of year listicle myself! I started thinking about the different posts and things that happened this year and these are the first ten memorable posts I thought of, so here’s two pictures from each one and a link to the actual post itself.
10. Can I Eat My Lunch In Here? (Starring Cyd's Gourmet Kitchen, Cafe + Catering and The Notre Dame High School Faculty Lounge)
The “Can I Eat My Lunch In Here?” posts have become really popular here on MBIP. It’s one of the more awkward things I do and while it’s never a comfortable post to actually do, it’s always fun when it’s all over. Kind of like beating your head against a wall because it feels so nice when you stop! This was a trip to Notre Dame High School, which I went to when it was called, Bergan High School. I got to eat my lunch in the teachers lounge, but the principal was reluctant at first and while some of the teachers were happy to see me, others weren’t too thrilled about the whole event! This was the most awkward, “Can I Eat My Lunch In Here?" of the whole series so far!

9. The MBIP Year Of Pizza—Week Number 50—Butch’s Pizza Party @ The Red Barn!
I’ve done many food tours here on MBIP, including, Twenty Weeks of Tenderloins, Twelve Weeks of Chicken Wings, Six Weeks of Soup and my own-going Eating Main Street tour. But the most ambitious so far has been the Year of Pizza tour where I ate pizza every week for a year. The highlight of that tour was a Butch’s Pizza Party at the Red Barn.

8. Scott Turley Birthday Beers At River Beach Pub & Eatery
This is the third year we’ve celebrated Scott Turley’s birthday and I think it was the best one yet! I had never been to the River Beach Pub and it was a great bar and we had some wonderful food and lots of good times that day and evening!

7. Saturday Night Cheeseburger @ Michelle and Todd’s Patio Cookout Party!
My friends Michelle and Todd had a housewarming party last summer and it was a really fun party and Todd made me the best cheeseburger in the world! And I’ve had a lot of cheeseburgers in my day!

6. Lunch At Amber & Marty’s Fillin’ Station...Then A Brief Stop At Emack & Bolio’s...And Then Beers @ The Navy-Marine Club (Special Day-Drinking Edition!)
Last summer, my friend Amber sent me an email ad for a restaurant in Sunnyland called, “Amber & Marty’s Fillin’ Station.” Well, we had to go and meet the other Amber and Marty and so we went and had a really fun day. They were great people and I hope we can do this again in 2016 and make it an annual tradition!
5. The Search For The Elusive and Mysterious Northwoods Mall Cop
This post came about when I was doing my annual counting of the gumball machines at Northwoods Mall. This is the third year I’ve done this and up till that point I had no problem. Well this year I had a problem. A mall cop on a Sedgewick rolled up to me and got all Barney Fife on my ass and was really rude to me. So I went back to take his picture and hilarity ensued!

3. Saturday Night @ Amber’s Birthday Party...Plus...The First Annual Amber Birthday Pizza Delivery Derby!
Last year we celebrated my friend Amber’s party with a microwave buffet. This year we had “The First Annual Amber Birthday Pizza Delivery Derby” complete with a betting pool. It was a really fun party and I’m already looking forward to next year’s party...so I guess you have to have one Amber!

2. The First Annual MBIP Summer Bowling Party!
I took a break from the blog in mid-February of last year and started it back up with a bowling party at St. Ann’s church in downtown Peoria In June. It was a lot of fun and there’s also a special tribute to Tweak on that post, which makes it pretty special. I’m going to have another party next year from there, so stay tuned for that!

1. A Goddess Marti Party—Revisiting My Inner Goddess At Goddess Boheme
This was probably my personal favorite post of the year! What can I say? I love dressing up like a woman! And it was so fun to fool both of my friends, Terry and Todd who had no idea that this strange looking woman at New Amsterdam was really me!

This list is just a small portion of the fun that was had on the blog this year, there’s no way to capture it all in one stupid list, so there’s plenty of equally good times that were left off. I want to thank everyone who appeared on MBIP this year and every one of you who reads the blog, I truly appreciate it and love you for doing so! Have a great New Year’s Eve today and tonight and we’ll see you all next year in 2016!
