Way back when I first started this blog I did a post about all the gumball machines housed in the Northwoods Mall. Later on in the year I put up a post about visiting the Easter Bunny there and sitting on the Bunny’s lap. I’ve been meaning to do an update on the gumball machines—no other news outlet in town is covering this, so I guess it’s up to me—and since Easter is near, I thought we could have a little visit with the Easter Bunny again. So that’s eggzactly what we’re going to do! Yes, a very bad pun, but my old New York blogging pal, EV Grieve is proud of me if he’s reading this. Are you out there EV Grieve? Okay, to the MBIP Mobile!
Wow, the sky is amazing today, look at those clouds...really feels kind of like an acid flashback, I love it when this happens!
I swear to God. that staring at that sky is starting to make me feel like I’m tripping! Let’s get out and get to business before the mall starts to melt and those goddamned bats appear.
Okay, now that we’re out of the car and facing the mall, I’m a little bit more focused on today’s assignment.
Let’s go in and count the gumball machines.
Funtime...shouldn’t that read, Fun Time? Anyhoo, the fun has begun, can’t you feel it in the air? Okay, let’s move along.
Crazy 8? I was tempted to go in and see if they sold blue crystal meth in there, but we’re on a tight schedule. Tight, tight...tight!
These Willy Wonka gumball machines weren’t here last time. And yes, I know there’s candy in there and not gum, but I still refer to it as a gumball machine. It’s my blog and I make the rules, so there!
Look at this lone gumball machine. Kind of sad, the loneliest gumball machine in the world!
And here’s another one over here, they should put them next to each other, they could mate and produce a crop of Chicklets!
These seven gumball machines weren’t here last time, I think the count is going to be even higher than last time. Who is chewing all this fucking gum?
This was here last year, this is a large bank of unique square gumball machines on the top level of the mall. It’s real sweet.
And here's the last gumball island up near the exit on the top level of the mall. And now we can reveal the count for this year: 86 gumball machines in Northwoods Mall! 18 more than the last time we counted them. And once again I must ask: Who is chewing all this fucking gum?
This is Tony who works restocking some of the gumball machines in the mall. I asked him why there are so many of these machines in here and he gave me this Bow Wow Wow-like answer: "People want candy." Very true, thank you sir!
Okay, we've counted the gumball machines, now it's time to see our old pal, The Easter Bunny. It looks like we need to go this way...
There he is in the same spot as last year, it's nice when some things remain the same!
Here's the two pretty women in charge of the Easter Bunny exhibit, Julia and Tara. We met Tara last year and Julia was the Easter Bunny on duty last year! Great to see both of them again!
And there's our old pal, Mr. Easter Bunny!
For those of you about to color an Easter egg, we salute you!
And now in this Easter corner of the Northwoods Mall is the time when we dance!
Here's one of my official Easter Bunny pictures taken by Tara and Julia.
And here's the other one. You should stop by and say hi to the three of them at the mall. Get your picture taken and send it to me and I'll put it up on the blog.
Thanks to Tara, Julia and The Easter Bunny for a fun time. We'll see you all tomorrow!
