Usually on Thursday nights I go out to a bar and then post the pictures and what happened there on Fridays. Well, last night was Thanksgiving and so there’s only one bar to go to on a turkey-trotting holiday like that and of course I’m talking about...
Jerry's Bar! My holiday destination for a quick beer or three. And speaking of quick, this post is going to be a little bit of a quickity blickity blog. It is a holiday weekend after all!
We'll travel down the familiar tartan trail...
And here we are at Jerry's Bar...but where's Jerry? Is this place closed on Thanksgiving?
Alright, there he is, Jerry the friendly host of Jerry's Bar. We can let this party and holiday begin!
And here I am with the hostess of Jerry's bar, Anne! Love coming here during holiday season!
And now through the magic of these here interwebs we are magically transported to Terry and Phil's house to have Thanksgiving dinner. I'm providing the snacks before dinner and Terry saved the tray from last year. Time to start building the snack tray!
Here's the ingredients I've got to put the snack tray together. Those of you who have been reading my blogs for the last few years know this, but I'll throw it out there for those who have just joined this train: I'm a board-trained Snackologist. What you are about to see is not something you should not try if you don't have the proper Snackology training and credits. I don't want to see anyone getting hurt out there!
Here's the finished tray. Looks pretty good and I'm grateful for my Snackology 101 training! Time to eat!
Here's the snack tray in Terry and Phil's family room...
And here's the people attending this Thanksgiving party, from left: Anne, Gerry, Terry, Phil, Tom, Casie, Caylin and Greg.
M.I.A. were Matt and Mary Beth. Terry locked them in the basement for wearing turkey hats. Hopefully we'll see them next year.
And here's the star of the evening, a dead turkey!
Jerry has to multitask on Thanksgiving, not only is he the host of Jerry's Bar, he has to cut up a dead turkey for the evening meal.
Here's Terry assembling the serving table...
And here's the dining room table where we're going to eat our Thanksgiving feast! Looks really nice and thanks to Terry and Phil for hosting and cooking this holiday meal!
Cheers and happy holidays from all of us!
