There’s one bar on the Farmington road strip that I’ve been meaning to stop in at and it’s called, Cam’s Place. The bar has been there for years and it’s one of the first places I ever got served when I was in high school. That was back when it was called, Sgt. Peppers. After that it was called, The Lucky Lady. That was over three decades ago, I think it’s time for a return visit, so it’s off to the MBIP mobile!
And we're off, heading up Main Street to Farmington Road, home of...
Cam's Place.
Ha, check out the "Cambulance" out in the front of the parking lot.
There was a friendly welcoming committee as I stepped inside of the bar. From left: Clay, who's the owner of the bar, Micah, Clay's girlfriend and Amish who's the manager of this fine establishment. Clay said he'd give me a little tour of the place, so away we go!
There's a large square, highly polished wooden bar up in the front of Cam's.
A shuffleboard table and a pool table are situated to the left of the front bar. This place is a lot more upscale than back in the day, Clay's done a good job with this bar!
There's another room here at the back of the bar, let's go check it out...
There's yet another full bar back here, this place is huge!
Here's pretty and friendly bartender Beth who was serving up drinks back here.
DJ Real Juicy was spinning tunes, he's the host over at White Folks Get Crunk, which is one of my newest favorite things to say! Check out the website here and like the facecrack page here. And if you're white and even if you're not, please feel free to get crunked out of your everloving soul tonight and every other night that follows!
Clay told me that tonight was the first night that they started serving food in here, check out the CamSession Stand!
Here's Carl who's doing the cooking tonight.
Carl told me they have chili-cheese dogs for a buck fifty, so I checked and asked if the chili was beanless. It is, so I ordered one to take back to the bar with me.
And two minutes later the dog is ready for consumption!
As I head back to the bar I see a couple of familiar faces...
It's the MBIP semi-regulars, Michelle and Todd!
The chili dog was delicious...
And bartender Ethan serves up an ice-cold Budweiser for dessert! Time for these white folks to get all crunked up! See you all tomorrow!
