I saw on facecrack that there’s a big Halloween party at Kenny’s Westside Pub with live music, so I thought that might be a good place to have a beer or two at on this Halloween night and check out some of the costumes.
But before we go out after work, there’s a couple spots I want to hit before work. So let’s go on a little mid-day Halloween tour around town!
The crew at All Smiles Dental Service told me that they were dressing up for Halloween, so I wanted to stop by and check out their costumes.
Ha! Great costumes, from left, Amber is a starfish, Shaun is a scary clown, Danielle dressed up as a package of bologna, Dr. Nguyen is a zombie prisoner and Peggy is a green fingered witch. Great costumes and one more reason to make this place your choice for all your dental needs. I have an appointment to get my teeth cleaned here in a few weeks, so stay tuned for that!
Next stop is the Cottage District off Main Street on this rainy-ass Halloween afternoon, if you follow the blog, you know where we're going...
We've headed to my old friend the Tin Man and he doesn't disappoint as he's got a Jason mask from Friday the 13th on. I put a mini MBIP pumpkin on his shoulder. The Halloween magic is definitely in the air.
And once again, if you follow this blog, you'll know that whenever we're in this neighborhood we stop by the Halloween trunk to purchase a plastic chicken. I also want to stop here as I'm wondering what Steve is dressed up for Halloween as, you know the owner of The Costume Trunk probably is sporting a great costume today...
The last visit was a little bit of a disappointment as he was still out of plastic chickens and kind of went all Soup Nazi/Plastic Chicken on our asses, let's see if he can redeem himself today.
Okay, the first disappointment is that he's not wearing a Halloween outfit and that sinister grin can mean only one thing...
No plastic chickens for you! He's promised that the next time we visit the plastic chicken stock will be there, but I'll believe it when I see it...
So you can see I'm not happy, but I bought these clown gloves because I thought it might freak Jaws the Cabbie out and decided to head back home and get ready for work.
On my way out I noticed the flyer that led us to the All Smiles Dental Care the other day, funny how things go round and round here at MBIP!
Okay, the clown gloves are in place at MBIP Headquarters, now I have to go to work. Clown gloves and beer aren't free in this town, so I have to do work to keep this blog operational. It ain't easy, but somebody's got to do it and I guess that somebody is me, sneeze you in about eight hours.
And through the miracle of the internet another work night is behind me and we are headed up Main Street towards the action at Kenny's Westside Pub.
Here we are at Kenny's and it looks like a full house here, the parking lot was full and we had to park across the street. Let's go in and check it out.
Wow, it's packed in here, no seats at the bar, so let's try and wiggle in and get a beer.
Yikes, this fellow approached me as I headed towards the end of the bar. He said he was dressed up as Earl, those of you who went to Bergan in 1976 can probably guess who this is. And to those of you who didn't, well, I'll never tell. So there!
They were dressed up behind the bar as well, here's pretty bartender Sabre...
And here she is joined by Peter, looking good on this Halloween evening!
Is that Lady Gaga? No it's bootylicious Sean Kenny, the owner of Kenny's Westside pub shaking his tail feather!
Here's some more of the costumed clientele enjoying the fun at Kenny's at the Halloween party.
Yes, we have a banana and his cute friend smiling beside him.
This is the most impressive outfit I've seen so far! Nice makeup work!
Two cute kitty cats in the crowd. Meeeeow!
Speaking of the crowd, I wandered over to the side room where the band was playing and it was packed wall to wall.
This is as close as I could get and I just blinded this guy with my flash. The band is Brainchild and they sound great, but I'm a little claustrophobic in here...
So I decided to have the final beer back here at MBIP Headquarters...
Check out the head on that beer as I deliver the traditional two-finger salute while sporting my new plastic choppers. Hope you had a great Halloween and we'll see you all tomorrow!
