Friday Bites! - Your Friday Snack Attack - This Week: Fourth of July Ice Cream Treats

by MBIP

Today is the Fourth of July, so I thought it would be nice to sample some ice cream treats for this week’s snacking post.

And so, it’s away we go in search of some cold and creamy treats!

——

Walgreens

Here we are at Walgreens, this is the one on War Memorial, near Prospect Avenue. I don’t think this one has ever been featured on the blog.

Let’s go inside and see what’s happening in here.

There’s the store and we’ll head over to the freezer section to the single item ice cream snacks.

They have a nice selection here, we’ll grab a few and head on back to the MBIP World Headquarters Snacking Area to sample them!

MBIP World Headquarters Snacking Area

Here’s the trio of sweet, cool and creamy treats I chose for this week’s holiday snacking session!

——

Ice Cream Treat Number One: Magnum Ice Cream Bar

First up is a Magnum Double Caramel Ice Cream Bar. It’s got 44% Cacao and I have to confess I had to Google the word “Cacao” to see what the hell it is.

From what I read, it’s somewhat of a cocoa bean that’s related to chocolate. I think, I didn’t really read a lot about it because I don’t really care! Let’s just open it up and try it out!

It’s kind of a small bar, but it is loaded with flavor!

Inside of the sweet chocolate coating is caramel and sweet vanilla ice cream. This may be a small bar, but it’s loaded with sweet flavor! Very nice! We’re off to a sweet start!

——

Ice Cream Treat Number Two: Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream Bar

Here we have a Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Milk Chocolate Almond Ice Cream Bar, housed in an impressive box.

This bar is small too. I just realized I haven’t had an ice cream bar in decades and I guess the size of them has shrunk through the years. Or maybe they just seemed bigger when I was smaller in size!

This too is a sweet treat but the vanilla ice cream doesn’t have a lot of flavor to it. I prefer the Magnum to this one but both are sweet treats!

——

Ice Cream Treat Number Three: Drumstick Ice Cream Cone

And here’s a classic ice cream treat, The Drumstick.

And it’s housed in a red, white and blue package, perfect for the Fourth Of July!

This has both chocolate and vanilla ice cream and it’s tasty but…

The best part is the cone that the ice cream is housed in. It’s got a layer of chocolate on the inside and with the melted ice cream it’s a crunchy and sweet treat!
