Today is Marilyn Monroe’s birthday.
She’d have been 99-years-old if she lived to see this birthday, but sadly she died back in 1962 at the age of 36. She lived a short life, but it was a memorable one for sure.

MBIP Coming Attractions
Monday: Last night I went to the newest Mexican Restaurant in the area, Casa Agave in Peoria Heights with my friends Amber and Joe and we had a fabulous dinner and a fun evening!
Tuesday: It’s not officially summer yet, but we’re kicking off this year’s annual Dog Days of Summer hot dog eating tour this Tuesday and we’re starting off at a classic Peoria hot dog destination: Lou’s Drive-In!
Wednesday: There was a special screening of the campy classic, Mommie Dearest at the Peoria Riverfront museum along with a talk and a book signing from A. Ashley Hoff, an L.A. based author, but he’s a Peoria native!
Thursday: We’ll have a throwback post from one of my past blogs on Thursday.
Friday: We’re going to sample a late night snack for our weekly Friday Bites snacking series.
Saturday: We’ll be glancing in Peoria’s past as we present another Meanwhile, Back In Peoria’s Past post.
