Okay, here’s the latest update on my forthcoming book, I didn’t get nearly as far last week as I had hoped to. I got about a quarter of chapter nine written, but I’m hoping to finish that up in the next couple of days and get into chapter 10. Right now in the book, I’m up to my first week in New York City and I’m preparing for my interviews at People magazine and Entertainment Weekly.
I posted my weekly YouTube video which is a little bit of a companion to the book and if you want to see this week’s video, just click here.
Tomorrow and Saturday, I’ll be posting “Best of MBIP” links on Twitter and facecrack, so check those out if you follow me on either one of those social media platforms.
Below are three teaser paragraphs from Chapter Two of, Confessions Of A Spiteful Writer.

Chapter Two: 1985-1990: Trivial Trivia - The Idiot Edition and The Back Story of my Writing Career
The U.P.I. Wire Service article said that Greg and I worked at Fleming Potter and the day it was published calls started coming in to work, mainly from radio stations all over the country. In the afternoon we got a call from a woman who was a booker on the Today Show and they wanted to book us to be interviewed by Jane Pauley in a couple of weeks in January of 1986.
So of course we said we’d be thrilled to do that and before you know it, Greg and I are on a plane to New York City! A city I had never been to, but always wondered about.
To make a very long story short: We were interviewed by Jane Pauley on The Today Show and the game ended up being sold nationally after K Mart and Osco Drug Stores stocked it in their stores. We got all kinds of attention after being on The Today Show and we found out what is was like to be local celebrities. Hint: It’s not that much fun, but luckily it only lasted about six weeks.
